Few places are better for retirement than Pinehurst and the Sandhills region of North Carolina. Money magazine placed the Pinehurst area forth on its’ 25 Best Places to Live”. Aside from its renowned golf heritage, the publication praised FirstHealth / Moore Regional Hospital (one of the best US hospitals), the areas climate (most wintertime highs get above 45F), and the Village’s downtown area. For me, a 17 year resident who relocated here to get away from the cold northern winters, the accolades come as no surprise.
